New Delhi: The Government of India has informed Parliament that over 3,800 Indian nationals were deported from the United States in 2025. The information was shared in a written response in the Lok Sabha by the Ministry of External Affairs.

According to the data provided, a significant number of deportations took place during the latter half of the year. The government stated that Indian authorities remain in coordination with US agencies on matters related to deportation and verification of nationality.

The response also noted that Indian missions in the United States assist deported individuals by ensuring identity verification and coordination with local authorities. The government emphasised that deportation processes are carried out as per applicable laws of the host country.

Officials added that Indian authorities continue to engage with foreign governments to address concerns related to illegal migration and to ensure humane treatment of Indian nationals during deportation procedures.
