The Brihanmumbai Munic- ipal Corporation (BMC) has floated
plans to demol- ish and reconstruct seven dilapidated bridges — including three vehicular
bridges and four footover bridges — in the western
suburbs’ Kandivali and Malad areas.
The project is estimated to cost
nearly Rs 33 crore, and is slated to be completed over two years.
According to civic
officials, all the bridges
are situated in the R/South
ward, which encompasses
Kandivali, and the P/North ward, which includes Malad. Of the
