The IRFC has received interim relief in a ₹230.55 crore GST dispute, with the court ordering a new review of the case.

The Honorable High Court of Judicature at Madras has granted the writ petitions submitted by the company, thereby annulling the demand order issued by the Assistant Commissioner (ST) on December 4, 2024, which amounted to an aggregate of Rs 230.55 crore. The case has been remanded to the respondent for a fresh review, as stated in a recent stock exchange filing.

This development follows a writ petition filed by IRFC contesting the original order from December 4, 2024. In its ruling, the high court has instructed the company to submit a comprehensive response, accompanied by relevant documentation, within four weeks of receiving a copy of the court's order.
